“Armenia Art Fair” Art Foundation
The “Armenia Art Fair” Art Foundation is a regional art platform for new and contemporary art for Armenia and the Caucasus. It was formed in response to try to address the problem of visibility for Armenian and regional contemporary art, and the need to build a regional art market capable of operating in the modern globalized art world.
By creating the platform that will provide an exhibition space and be educational and supportive, we will encourage innovation in art production, further the development of skills and professionalism within the arts sector, contribute to the injection of new ideas and encourage investment in art and art infrastructure in Armenia.
The foundation works to raise the visibility of regional contemporary art, to contribute to artistic and cultural development in Armenia and the wider Caucasus region by building an art market and promoting Armenia’s international reputation as a center for creative industries.
It achieves this through organizing art fairs and cultural events as well as exhibitions of local and international artists, arranging professional education programs and providing public access to academic lectures on contemporary art developments. It also initiates collaborative projects to promote art production and strengthen civil-society engagement.
